Bye, my little Birdie...

I have taken it for granted as it will always be there. Come to think of it, it has been with us for 7 years. Time flies.

Now that it's gone, I feel weird somehow, I don't know how to describe, it's just the typical feeling for a passed away friend I guess.

Received a message from my sis in the morning saying, "birdie might not be able to make it today". I felt shocked at first but tears gathered in my eyes after a few seconds. I kept it there, not allowing it to roll out, well, I'll miss him.

Went home after lunch with mates, I should be quite glad in fact, I wouldn't want to witness my poor little birdie suffering and dying but I just can't do anything.

I looked at him, lying dead on the base of it's cage and I bided him goodbye by padding his head for a few times. That was the first and the last time I padded his head.

We buried it after my dad came home. It was damn sudden and we supposed that it died because of old age.

Peace in rest my dear little birdie.
